My worst nightmare! Total lack of compassion top to bottom at this establishment is hard to believe. These people are all about $$ as long as it's convenient for them. I should have learned my lesson 3 years when I was forced to make an appointment to see Dr. Burg after being told a growth removed from one of our dogs was cancer only to find out 5 days later that they had removed the cancer and she was fine. The grieving we went through thinking our girl was going to die was aweful. Now 3 weeks ago, our dog was seriously ill, we called the office before 5pm on a Thurs. Because we didn't think she would make it through the night. We were told we would have to wait til Mon. When I stressed how sick she was the girl went to talk to Dr. Burg to see if he would see her. NOPE! We were told to try someplace else, good luck and goodbye. We called Sunrise in East Tawas, where the doctor waited after hours to see us. Our girl was put to sleep an hour after calling Dr. Burg. They have lost our business, our other pets will never set foot in that uncaring place again!
Love it! Except for the fact Dr. Burg is retiring. And now a new vet is changing everything!

I bring my bearded dragon here and I couldn't be more greatful for the people here. Always kind, prompt and informational. He sees many different types of exotic pets as well as cats and dogs (even domesticated skunks!!). When I called the other vet in town I explained that I JUST needed a fecal test and I ended up on hold for 20 min, to be told that I didn't know what I was talking about, that they'd have to get blood and all this other stuff to do the test.. Displeased, I called the animal hospital and dropped off the sample that same day and got results in 2 hours. This office runs like a well oiled machine compared to other vet. They are willing to listen to all your concerns and help your animal in any way. I am so glad that I found someone close with experience in exoctics and at an affordable price!!!
